Funeral services for Mr. Willie Lee Lewis will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2 p.m. at First Estill Baptist Church with burial in the Crossroad Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Garvin & Garvin Funeral Home in Estill, SC. Born in Allendale County on October 10, 1933. He was the son of the late Tom and Rebecca Lewis. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at MUSC in Orangeburg, SC.

At an early age, Mr. Willie joined Thompson Chapel CME Church under the leadership of Rev. W. G. Garvin, Jr. He was a member of Fairview Lodge #393 in Estill, SC until his health failed. He was also a 30-plus-year member of Solomon Chapter 22 Royal Arch Masons.

He leaves behind his loving daughter Saberina Bostick Mitchell (James) of the home. Sons-Homer Lewis of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Frank Bostick of Bluffton, SC.

Two devoted grandnephews-Antayvis Taylor of Rivers Hill and Brantley Taylor of Estill, SC. One sister-Dorothy Sims (Charles) of Savannah, Georgia. Four grandchildren-Tyshawn Mitchell (Maria) of Atlanta, Georgia, Diamond Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, James Mitchell of Fairfax, SC, and Christian Mitchell of the United States Navy. One great-grandson-Jameer Mitchell. Two special persons whom he admired-Henry Bostick, Jr. and Diane Redenburg Roberts for allowing Willie and  Tutter to raise their baby girl. A special niece-Tanya Dobson. Special friends-Denise Scott, Jackie Frazier, Mr. King, Helen Ritter, Elliott Wright, and Gwen Walker. A host of loving family and friends.
