Mr. Roosevelt Ling, Jr. was born on September 2, 1941 to the late Isy Mae Wilson and Roosevelt Ling, Sr. He made his transition to be with the Lord on January 13, 2019 in Beaufort Nursing and Rehab Center in Beaufort, SC.

He was a member of Sandhill Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee Board.

Sonny Boy as he was called by all who knew him in the community loved to go fishing and working because he was a self-employed carpenter, plumber and painter. In the 1980's and 1990's he owned two business.

Sonny Boy was a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be truly missed by those who loved him.

Roosevelt was preceded in death by his wife-Willie Mae Ling, sisters-Julia Howard and Nellie Mae Ling. Brothers-Leroy Wilson and Johnny Ling.

Sonny Boy will be forever remembered in the hearts of his family: Sons-James (Marilyn) Ling, Willie (Julie) Ling, Randolph (Bertha) Ling and Mark Wilson all of Estill, SC. His only "Baby Girl"-Patricia(Melvin) Bryant of Estill, SC. Sisters: Mary E. Young of Lake Wales, Florida, Hattie V. Warren, Helen L. Newton and Emma Wright all of Estill, SC. Brother-Anthony Ling of Utah and Step-Sister & Brothers-Florence(James) Ling, Nettie (Jessie) Tyson and Robert Gardner. Sisters-in Law: Retha (Lester) Sanders and Debra Ling. Nine grandchildren and Four Great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
