Nellie Mae Ling, 70, of Estill died Tuesday evening at her residence, 200 Frankie Bennett Circle, in Estill.

Ms. Ling was born in Hampton County to the late Roosevelt Ling, Sr. and Isamay Wilson Ling. She joined First Estill Baptist Church of Estill at an early age where she served faithfully until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters: Janice Brooks and Rhumell (Kevin) Black both of Estill; her nephew whom she raised: Sammie (Michelle) Ling of Estill; four sisters: Helen Newton and Virginia Warren both of Estill, Mary Young of Florida and Emma Wright of Garnett, SC; two brothers: Roosevelt Ling, Jr. of Estill and Anthony Ling of Utah; three step daughters: Janice Reed, Luciana Reed and Michelle Reed; two step sisters: Florence Ling of Garnett, SC and Nettie Tyson of Tarboro, SC; one step brother: Robert Ferguson of Garnett, SC; one sister-in-law: Debra Ling of Estill; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00am at First Estill Baptist Church, Estill. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery, Shirley, SC. Garvin-Garvin Funeral Home of Estill is in charge of the services.

There will be no wake. Viewing will be held on Monday from 4pm to 7pm and on Tuesday morning up to the time of the funeral at the chapel of Garvin-Garvin Funeral Home, Estill, SC. Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting our website at www.garvin&garvinfuneralhome.com.
