Funeral services for Mr. Maurice "Coot" White will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 12 noon at Mt. Pleasant AME Church Cemetery in Estill, South Carolina. Public visitations will be held Friday, January 1, 2021 from 3 to 7 pm in the chapel of Garvin-Garvin Funeral Home.

Maurice White was born on June 27, 1970 the youngest son of the late Oregon White, Sr. and Lubertha Brown White departed his earthly home on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant AME Church.

Coot as he was called by all who loved and knew him enjoyed being and his family and friends.

Maurice "Coot" White precious memories will always be cherished by his sister; Michelle(Sammie) Ling of Estill, SC; Two brothers; Oregon White, Jr. of the home and Earl(Ella) White of Scotia, SC. A cousin raised as a brother; Charles Taylor of Estill, SC. Children whom he helped raised-Rochelle, Lester, Kilo, Samantha, Leslie, Lamar, and Ricky. Three aunts-Nora Brown of Estill, SC, Evan Penn of Furman, SC and Rosa Lee Brown of Lena, SC. 1 sister-in-law and 1 brother-in-law. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
