Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Atkins will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 am at
First Estill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Family hour will be held Monday,
March 13, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Garvin and Garvin Funeral Home. On Tuesday,
March 14, 2023 the body will be placed in the church from 10 am until the time of the funeral
for viewing. Born in Hampton County on February 19, 1960 and she departed her life on March
6, 2023 at her residence. Her commitment to education allowed her to dedicate 32 years of
service. She was a member of First Estill Baptist Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Guiding
Light Chapter #285 OES. She also served as a Board Member for Hampton County School
District #2. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Kenneth Atkins, three children
Zylthia Atkins, Kenneth(Angelica) Atkins and Erin Martinez. Three grandchildren-Tanirah
Weinkiper, Amilia Martinez and Mase Atkins. Mother-Clara Mae Perry. Aunt-Louise Deloach
and uncle-Andrew Jenkins. Two brothers-Frederick (Lorraine) Jenkins, and Elijah (Donna) Perry.
Three sisters-Brenda(Tyrin) Brooks, Sharon (David) White and Loretta (Tony) Watson. Special
friends-Lizzie Young, Mary Glenn and Rebecca Peterson, a host of nieces, nephews,
grandnieces/nephews and friends.
