Marion "Junior" Green was born on April 25, 1954 in Jasper County, South Carolina to the late Mr. Marvin and Beulah (Horton) Green. He transitioned from this life to his eternal rest on May 23, 2020.
Marion attended Estill Training School in Estill, South Carolina. Marion was an active father/grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He was known to his children and family as Junior and MG. Marion accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and member of Thompson Chapel C.M.E Church, under the leadership of Pastor David Thomas and now under the leadership of Pastor Larry Whitfield. He enjoyed working with his sons doing mechanic work on the tractor trailers. He was an employee at SEF Holland for numerous years in Denmark, South Carolina; South Carolina Department of Transportation for several years in Hampton, South Carolina, and Bostick & Son Trucking in Estill, South Carolina.
In addition to his beloved parents, Marion was preceded in death by his sisters Cynthia Green, Wanda Green-McGraw, and Mary Riley; and his brother Curtis Green.
Marion is survived by his beloved wife of forty-two years, Mary Ann Green, of the home; one daughter Velvateen Gordon of Goose Creek, South Carolina; three sons Koki (Patricia) Green of Estill, South Carolina; Keith Green of Garden City, Georgia; and Nicholas (Pia) of Columbia, South Carolina. Host of grandchildren. One brother Winston (Shirley) Green. Sisters and brothers-in-laws Marshell (Willie) Garvin, Bertha Bostick, Georgia (Craig) Beckett, Josephine Bostick, Henry Bostick, Hebert Bostick and Timothy Bostick. One Aunt Lola (Freddie) Spann; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends he loved.
