Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Rose Peeples Campbell will be held Friday,
September 3, 2021 at 11 am at Mt. Mariah Worship Center in Furman, SC with
burial in the Ruth Cemetery in Lena, SC. Public viewing will be held Thursday
evening from 6 to 7 pm in the chapel of Garvin and Garvin Funeral Home in Estill,
South Carolina. Lillie Rose Campbell the daughter of the late Lucille Peeples and
the late Willie Peeples was born in Hampton County on March 14, 1944. She
departed this life on August 30, 2021 at Pruitt Nursing Home in Walterboro, South
Carolina. Lillie was a 1963 graduate of Estill Training School. She moved to
Brooklyn, New York and stayed there for many years. While she was there she
met and married Hilbert Campbell and they moved to Addville, SC. Lillie became a
member of New Faith Presbyterian under the leadership of Daniel Murphy. She
worked at Greenwood Correction Center and after retiring she moved back to
Estill, SC. Lillie Rose joined Mt. Mariah Worship Center under the leadership of
Maude Sanders and now under the leadership of Elder Coy Brantley. She leaves to
cherish her memories: Husband: Hilbert Campbell of Addville, SC;
Sister:Barbara(Richmond) Ryles of Scotia, SC; Brother: Harry (Gloria) Busby of
Estill, SC; Sister&Brother-Willie M. Peeples and James Peeples both of Gainsville,
Flordia. Sister in-law: Lillian Devore, Goddaughter-Connie Kearse and an adopted
son: Frank Blake, Jr. and a host of special friends nieces, nephews, and cousins.
