Joseph "Cadillac" Bostick was born on January 30, 1948 in Allendale County, South Carolina to the late Henry Bostick, Sr. and Willie Mae Badger Bostick. He transitioned from this life to his eternal rest on July 17, 2016.



Joe as we all knew him attended and graduated from Fairfax Training School, Fairfax SC. At an early age, Joe accepted Jesus Christ and joined Thompson Chapel CME Church. After graduation Joe moved to Jersey City, NJ to begin a new life and career. "Cadillac Joe" gained his nick name as a result of his sporty rides and fine suits. His good looks were eye catching but his biggest catch was Ethel Jenkins. In 1971 Joe and Ethel married and together raised their two sons, Drexter and Kejuan.

In 1988 Joe and his family relocated to Rembert, SC and started Bostick and Sons Trucking Company, where he worked diligently until his health failed.

Preceded in death are his wife, Ethel Jenkins Bostick; grandson Raekwon Bostick; brothers - Willie Bostick, Lewis Bostick, Mose Bostick, and sister Richardean Stokes.

Joe is survived by his four children: Drexter (Samantha) Bostick of Florence, SC, Kejuan Bostick of Las Vegas, NV, Tara Thompson of Selma, AL and Rashard Bostick of Orangeburg, SC. Three brothers: Henry Bostick, Jr., Herbert Bostick, Timothy Bostick, and cousin/brother Earl (Celestine) Brown Sr. Six sisters: Mable Bostick, Mary Ann (Marion) Green, Marshell (Willie James) Garvin, Georgia (Craig) Beckett, Bertha Smart, and Josephine Ritter. Two aunts: Reatha Badger and Lucile (Al) Stewart. One uncle: Willie Lewis. Four sister in-laws: Thomasine (Herbert) Bennett, Edna Robinson, Edith Dickey and Wilhelmina Bostick. Two grandchildren: Jamiah and JaCory Thompson.

A special cousin, Mrs. Carol Brooks Jenkins. Adopted siblings: Eliot Duncan, John Duncan, Sarah Ayers, Bennie Brown, Mamie Jenkins, Martha Duncan, Corine Miller. A host of nieces and nephews he loved and cherished as his own. Many loving cousins and friends. Two special friends: Evonne and Jalen Manor.
