Funeral services for Mr. Johnston Lee Sanders will be held Friday, April 15, 2022, at 12 noon at Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 pm in the chapel of Garvin and Garvin Funeral Home in Estill, SC.

Mr. Johnston Lee Sanders, son of the late Lester and Edna Mae Owens Sanders, was born on  February 6, 1949, in Hampton County, SC. He received his formal education, in the Hampton County School System at Estill Training School.  Johnston worked in the housing apartment management,  in Columbia S.C. and Hilton Head Island S.C .for many years before retiring due to his health.

Johnston was united in holy matrimony to the late Elizabeth Flowers. Johnston was later joined by a very devoted friend and companion, Mrs. Lou Edna Busby of Allendale, S.C. where he was blessed with four stepchildren, Willie Busy, Parsheni Busby, Derrick Busby, Allendale, S.C., and Quincy Busby,(Tiffany) Columbia, S.C.

Three grandchildren, Shadavia, Busby, Khadijah, Busby, KeAndre Busby, of Allendale, S.C.

Three great-grandchildren, Timothy Gibbs, Nevaeh Gibbs, Kaceon Eady, Allendale, S.C. He had a gentle spirit, that was felt by everyone"s life he touched. Johnston departed this life on April 6, 2022, at his home. A wise and loving God welcome him with open arms.

He leaves to cherish precious memories: Two sisters Mrs. Rosa Taylor, Hampton, S.C. Mrs. Ethel M.Brown-Dandy, Estill, S.C.  Five Brothers, Lester Sanders, (Retha) Estill, S.C. Clifford Sanders, ( Bertie Mae) Hampton, S.C. Joe Sanders, (Sadie) Hampton, S.C. Harold Sanders,(Valerie) San Diego CA. Four nephews were raised in the home by (Granny) Marion Sanders Jr. (Sharon) Estill, S.C, Gene, Sanders,(Lillian) Hampton, S.C. Harrison Singleton, (Yvette) North Carolina,
