Brother Jake Bostick, Jr. died on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was born to the late Jake Bostick Sr. and Minnie Thomas Bostick . As a child, he attended Hampton County public school. As a young man, he learned to farm. Brother Bostick married the love of his life the late Louise Bostick on December 19, 1954. He was a faithful member of Mt Pleasant AME Church, where he served in many capacities. He was The Father of the church, Trustee, Steward and Custodian Assistant.

Brother Bostick worked as an agriculturist and construction worker. He also served as a community giant up to his death. He was willing to help anyone in need. Members of the community knew him as "Uncle Jake" and "Hammerman".

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Louise S. Bostick, his parents, stepmother: Rosa Bostick, four brothers; Henry, James, Willie ans Jessie Bostick, two sisters; Catherine Fields and Ida Mae Griffin, step sister: Janie L. Wright and granddaughter: Ebony Williams.

He is survived by five sons: Sammy Bostick, Norman (Maxine) Bostick, Anthony (Kimberly) Bostick , Prince (Elouise) Bostick all of Estill, SC and Jake (Betty) Bostick of Rincon, Ga.; three daughters: Minnie (Julius) Adams of Rincon, Ga, Barbara Bostick of Estill, SC and Paulline (Alfred) Austin of Varnville, SC; one brother: Edward Bostick Sr. of New London, CT; one stepbrother: Charles Johnson of Columbia, SC; two stepsisters: Sylvia Housey of Columbia, SC and Willie Mae Riddle of New Jersey; one aunt: Ada Bostick of Scotia, SC; 16 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, a host of loving sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
