Ms. Helen Hutchinson was born on August 3, 1946 in Hampton County to the late Joseph Hutchinson Sr. and the late Fannie Bigby Hutchinson. She was the middle of three children and the youngest girl of the siblings. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ethel Middleton and her brother Joseph Hutchinson Jr. Helen passed away on July 27, 2018.

Early in life, Helen joined Sandhill Baptist Church where her mother was a member. Helen grew up in a home that stressed love of God, family and community. In her capacity, Helen remained faithful to her church through her Love of God, Praise and Worship.

Helen was educated in the public schools of Estill, South Carolina. She was a 1966 graduate of the Estill Training School with the superlative of "Best Dressed". She later received a diploma in fashion from Denmark Technical College, formerly known as South Carolina Area Trade School. Helen was a member of the Anell Chapter#297 Order of Eastern Stars.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory, a nephew: Phillip Hutchinson and a niece: Christi Hutchinson of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law: Lil Hutchinson of Barnwell, SC; devoted cousins: Carolyn Coleman of Hyattsville, MD and Brenda David of Estill, SC; other cousins and friends.
