Funeral services for Ms. Gladys Hilder Roberts will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Sweetrose Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm in the chapel of Garvin and Garvin Funeral Home.

Gladys Hilder Roberts, the last of 15 siblings was born on March 29,1939 to the late Hamp Roberts and Janie King Roberts in Lena, SC; therefore, the nickname "Babe" was deemed appropriate. Gladys attended Estill Training School and received several trade certificates from various educational institutions.

She departed this life on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

Surviving to cherish her memory are: son, Charlie Roberts, of Estill, SC; daughters,  Queenia Roberts, of Estill, SC and Sally (Kenneth Wall) Roberts, of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Alice White, of Springfield, MA; brother-in-law, Charlie Odom, of Brooklyn,  NY; granddaughters, DeAishia (Cliqshay) Roberts-Bostick, of Hampton, SC, Janie  Star, Justine, Gladys, Dezirreah, Jamaishia, and Davinity Roberts, all of Estill, SC  and Alesia Dykes, of Hardeeville, SC; grandsons, Darren Simmons, of Brooklyn,  NY, Adonis, JaMarKwan, Jkhari Roberts and Datron Duncan, of Estill, SC; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grands. Lifelong friendships and mother-like ties with Joy Gidden and Doreen Beckett. A host of other relatives and friends.
