Missionary Ethel Lee O'Banner Brown was born on March 7, 1927 to her loving parents, the late Lieutant O'Banner and the late Mrs. Trudie Goethe O'Banner. She was received in the presence of the Lord on the early morning of Tuesday, March 23, 2019, at PruittHealth, Estill, South Carolina.
Missionary Ethel Lee O'Banner lived a victorious life. She was a strong missionary and marvelous community leader. Missionary was one of the Pioneers of Mt. Olive Pentecostal Church of Christ, Inc. in Estill, S.C. under the leadership of Bishop Stephan N. Frazier. Missionary served her church in a quiet and powerful manner until her health failed, visiting even during her days of sickness.
Missionary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mr. Samuel L. Brown, Sr., three sons, Samuel L, Jr., Otis Lee and James Brown, a sister Mamie Frazier, and a brother Columbus O'Banner, Sr.

Three daughters: Evelyn Peeples (Estill, SC), Shelia Brown (Hinesville, GA), Rose Priester (Varnville, SC), a step-daughter, Dotsey (Virgil) Garner, a special grand daughter Arthur Mae Smith (Hampton, SC) whom she raised in her home, Four sisters: Betsy Brantley (Columbus, GA), Rebecca Early (Newark, NJ), Rose (Robert) Brantley (Newark, NJ), Rachel O'Banner (Stampford, CT), a brother: James B. Cohen (Newark, NJ), a brother-in-law Maybank (Bertha) Duncan (Estill, SC).
Grandchildren: Michelle Lessane (Hoboken, NJ), Rachel Williams (Estill, SC), Cynthia (Elmo) Frederick (Estill, SC), Wanda Lessane (Estill, SC), Sherman (Shamekia) Lessane (Tampa, FL), Tangela (Marlin) Johnson (Hardeeville, SC), Tyrone (Tamiko) Brown (Reidsville, GA), Demetria Brown (Estill, SC), Latarver (Doretha) Williams, Sharnee (Rena) Brown, (Las Vegas, NV), David (Shelleivese) Brown (Hampton, SC), Kenyon (Tomeco) Brown (Hinesville,GA), Tyeshia Primus (Columbia, SC), Tammy Primus (Atlanta, GA), Monica Brown (Jersey City, NJ), Christina Brown (GA), Princine Jones (Charlotte, NC), and preceded by death Shildee Primus (Heaven above). A special adopted son: Ricky Patterson (Augusta, GA)
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her entire Pentecostal Church of Christ family.
