Barbara Heyward Peeples, 64, of Garnett, S.C. died Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC after a sudden illness. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Mark AME Church, Garnett, SC with to follow in the Breller Field Cemetery, Garnett, SC.

Barbara Heyward Peeples was born in Hampton County on February 9, 1954 to the late Gussie and Eula Heyward. She was a member of St Mark AME Church. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, educator and dedicated church worker and friend to all. She will be missed by everyone.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: One son, Benjamin "Benji" Peeples III (Kesha) of Chester, SC; Three brothers: Gussie W. Heyward Jr. (Diane) and Larry Heyward (Benita) both of Garnett, SC and J.C. Heyward (Elizabeth) of Connecticut; Two sisters: Ruth Ann Grant (Franklin) of Manhattan, NY and Josephine H. Moore (Keith) of Garnett, SC; Two grandsons: Martravius and ZiTavius Peeples of Chester, SC; Two aunts: "Doll Wright" and Lilar Heyward both of Garnett, SC.
